I created business cards for guardians who wanted something tangible with my contact info.

During my employment at the high school, I worked under Mizzou (University of Missouri - Columbia), which was confusing for students and their families. Therefore, I wanted my business cards to mirror the school’s style, incorporating their paws, their “R” and school colors. However, I added the yellow to connect me back to Mizzou and to further stand out from other business cards Ritenour students and families would receive.

During my time at Ritenour, I was not always able to design "in color". I had to consider who the product was for and the quantity needed. For example, if I was designing for co-workers or students, the design would most likely be printed in black and white due to the high quantities needed.

When designing commercially for public companies, like KOBE Steakhouse of Japan, I was able to delve into a more elaborate, colorful design, as those designs were going to be used by the company and a few by the school, therefore, the quantity needed would not be as high. As you see here, the flyer I designed was used to promote a fundraiser for the Ritenour students and to include people outside of the school. This flyer was printed in color and reflected more of KOBE’s style in an effort to draw more attention and mesh well in the KOBE restaurant where the flyer would be displayed.

As for event forms for Ritenour, I had to play around with different gray tones in an effort to make the design interesting. Since the primary events were college visits and field trip forms, I decided to create a form that could be used for multiple events. While I started my initial designs in color, I was able to land on a neutral template that was in alignment with the school's needs.

Lastly, for the CCR (College & Career Readiness) Ambassador Badges, I was given orange paper to create a design against, so I took this as an opportunity to print a bold design in black ink. I knew the design needed to be eye-catching for the teachers, while allowing them to easily identify the students' affiliation as an Ambassador.
